MCM’s credit reporting policies put consumers first

MCM is a company that buys and services unpaid debt. For example, when a credit card account goes unpaid, sometimes the credit card company will close the account and sell it to companies like MCM. From that point on, MCM owns the account. If Midland Credit Management, Inc. appears on your credit report, that means the original account was sold to MCM and that your credit report was updated to reflect the new owner of the original debt.

To check to see if MCM owns debt belonging to you from an account that has been charged off, please use the look up your account tool and log in to your MCM account. If you don’t know your account number and aren’t sure whether you have an account with us, you can use your last name, the last four digits of your Social Security number, and your date of birth to look up your account.
